We are thrilled to be partnering with the New York Harbor School’s Billion Oyster Project. This project is sponsored by the Verizon Powerful Answers campaign and is truly inspiring and amazing on so many levels. We have also included our Non-Profit partner, Teens4Oceans who will be joining the New York Harbor School students for the build and installation of our CleanSweep™ PTZ camera system on the artificial oyster reef the school will be placing off Governors Island. Please take a moment and check out the amazing Urban Assembly New York Harbor, the Billion Oyster Project, and the Verizon Powerful Answers campaign. And, look for future posts and updates as this project continues to grow.
Our Clients Say it Best
We at New York Harbor School and Foundation have been extremely fortunate to work with VIB in the development our state of the art marine monitoring platform for oyster restoration in New York Harbor. From the start of this project VIB has provided impeccable technical advice on design of the platform and in-water construction procedures. In addition to contributing their PTZ camera system to the very center of the platform, VIB has worked closely with YSI/Xylem Inc to help us integrate advanced optical sondes and Doppler driven current profiling systems into the larger deployment. We continue to work closely with VIB in the software development phase of the project. Their IT department is leading the development of custom-built database and online dashboard that will serve to educate and engage NYC public school students in the process of marine monitoring and ecological restoration.–Sam Janis, Restoration Program Manager, Billion Oyster Project, Urban Assembly New York Harbor School.
View Into The Blue web camera systems have allowed us to have a live underwater video stream available both for marketing on our website and as an enticing visual display for our visitors on a large monitor in our restaurant. VITB installed our system using solar, which fits perfectly with our green, environmentally responsible business values. Our experiences with View Into The Blue were top-notch and we are extremely satisfied with both their products and their professionalism.–Andy Murrant, Cooper Island Beach Club, British Virgin Islands.
Teens4Oceans would not be the successful organization it is without the partnership we have with View Into The Blue. The student opportunities that have been created through our field experiences at the camera sites and class-based projects that students have designed using streaming data from VITB systems are extraordinary. Students typically cannot get this type of exposure to field science research until college or graduate school.–Erin Sams, Education and Research Coordinator, Teens4Oceans.
The integration of live, high-definition video, data collection and online accessibility allows students, scientists and conservationists the opportunity to utilize an unprecedented amount of real-time data for a wide variety of projects. View Into The Blue's underwater instruments have transformed our online curriculum.–Dr. Mikki McComb, Ocean Classrooms.
The View Into The Blue static pool camera we installed in our dive pool has been an extremely useful and valuable tool for the business. We have utilized the live streaming video for marketing on our website, to engage clients interested in taking scuba classes, and even to allow family and friends to observe their loved ones practicing their scuba skills. We found everyone at VITB to be very knowledgeable and helpful. In the short time we have had this streaming webcam on our website, traffic has increased by almost ten percent. We highly recommend using their live underwater video cameras!–Graham Casden, Ocean First Divers.
